Terms and Conditions

Last updated

These terms cover your use of Pradakshina and the account you hold with it. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need an account to use the service. To create one you give a name and an email address you control, confirm that address with the code we email you, and choose a password.

  • Give accurate details, and keep your email address current — it is how you recover access.
  • One person per account. Do not share a password or let somebody else use your account.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account while it is signed in.
  • Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has access to it.

2. Passwords

Choose a password of at least eight characters that is not one of the widely-used ones — the form will tell you if it is. Because passwords are stored hashed, we cannot recover yours; if you forget it, use password recovery to set a new one.

Changing your password signs you out everywhere else. That is intentional.

3. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • attempt to access an account, or any data, that is not yours;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the service, or work around its rate limits, sign-in checks or permissions;
  • automate account creation, or register addresses you do not control;
  • upload anything unlawful, or any image you do not have the right to use, as a profile photo;
  • use the service to send unsolicited messages, or in any way that disrupts it for other people.

4. Content you upload

Your profile details and photo remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them for the purpose of running your account — nothing else. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

Uploaded photos are converted and stored outside the public web root, and are served only through the account pages.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It may be unavailable for maintenance, and features may change or be withdrawn.

6. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. You may ask us to close your account at any time — see the privacy policy for what happens to your data when an account is deleted.

7. Privacy

How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes when we do, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated version.

9. Contact
